2. The Auction Lifecycle
Register & Verify
All bidders must register via HiBid. We verify identity and payment info. Must be 18+ (21+ for firearms). False info leads to immediate termination.
Bid (Soft Close)
Auctions use "Extended Bidding." If a bid is placed in the final minutes, the clock resets. No sniping! Items are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS"—inspection is your responsibility.
Pay (24 Hour Rule)
Cards on file are processed immediately after closing. Declined payment? You have 24 hours to fix it, or face a 20% penalty, forfeiture, and a ban.
Pickup or Ship
Strict pickup windows. Miss your window? Items are deemed abandoned with NO refund. We partner with Shipping Saint for all delivery needs (billed separately).
3. Regulated & Specialty Items
We handle complex assets like firearms and vehicles professionally. Compliance is non-negotiable.
Firearms Policy
- ⚠ FFL Required: All transfers must go through a licensed Federal Firearms License holder.
- ⚠ Background Check: Mandatory NICS check. Must be 21+ for handguns.
- ⚠ Failed Check Penalty: If you fail the check, you forfeit the 15% Buyer's Premium and transfer fees. Refund covers Hammer Price only.
Motor Vehicles
- ℹ Title Status: Sold with title status fully disclosed (Clean, Salvage, etc.).
- ℹ Transfer Delay: Titles are transferred only AFTER full payment has cleared (approx. 7 days).
- ℹ Condition: Inspect personally. "As Is" applies strictly to mechanical condition.
4. The Fine Print (Clause Explorer)
1.1 Registration: Must register via HiBid. HAG reserves the right to deny/terminate accounts.
1.2 Verification: Bidders must provide verifiable info. HAG may run identity checks.
1.3 Age: 18+ generally, 21+ for regulated items.
1.4 Responsibility: You are responsible for all bids on your account.
3.1 Buyer's Premium: 15% non-refundable fee added to hammer price.
3.2 Sales Tax: 6% MI Sales Tax unless exempt form provided prior to close.
3.4 Default: Non-payment within 24hrs results in a 20% penalty, forfeiture, and ban. You remain liable for the deficiency.
4.1 Scheduled Pickup: Must adhere to published times. Non-negotiable.
4.2 Abandonment: Items not picked up are forfeited with NO refund.
4.3 Labor: Bring your own help/tools. Staff does not load heavy items.
4.4 Shipping: Handled via Shipping Saint. Bidder pays all shipping costs.
6.1 Jurisdiction: Governed by Michigan State Law.
6.2 Limitation: Sole remedy for errors is refund of hammer price. No consequential damages.
